Mark Warner to Run for VA Senate

As anticipated by your humble blogger and Sirocco, but not by Framer, Mark Warner will indeed seek the Senate Seat vacated by retiring John Warner.

He will win.

The Republican that runs against him is political fodder. Mark Warner very successfully served as the Governor of Virginia and is well liked. The notion of someone defeating him is folly.

Arizona also has an extremely popular governor about to term out and seek the US Senate as well, and she will win. The Republican who runs against her is also political fodder.

The pendulum swings. Sadly, and not by my preference, it swings violently. The Bush/Rove/Cheney machine raped all notions of decency, fair play, and conscience. These unspeakably incompetent and malevolent thugs have taken this country into terrain it did not deserve. Godspeed to Mark Warner. Godspeed to Janet Napolitano. Godspeed to all forces that will destroy the malignant cancer Lord Cheney has unleashed.

Bush is a mouth around a dick. Cheney is Satan laughingly walking about his dominion, feeding our young to his friends.

I didn't know janet would run. Pederson came pretty close, I'm sure she could make up that difference easily.

Yes! I am now something like 1-for-73 in predicting against Framer.

If Janet runs, it would be against McCain in 2010, not Kyl. Although I guess if she loses in 2010 she could try Kyl in 2012.

I think this is good news about Mark Warner. Getting some of the better Democratic governors into the Senate is exactly what needs to happen. Another promising Democratic governor is New York's Eliot Spitzer.

Oh, yeah, another thing. I was going to say, x4mr, that some of your sentences must invoke some interesting imagery for your more visual readers:

"Bush is a mouth around a dick. Cheney is Satan laughingly walking about his dominion, feeding our young to his friends."

Cool blog.

The visual presentation is spectacular.

Both your words and your photos are like poetry.

Very cool.

A recent poll had Janet up on McCain 47-36% in a hypothetical Senate matchup. And the longer he hangs around the Presidential race making a fool out of himself, the stronger she looks.

Warner and Napolitano are part of a raft of popular Democratic governors in red states that could run for Senate one day. Some others include Freudenthal (Wyoming) Breseden (Tennessee), Sebelius (Kansas) and Henry (Oklahoma.)

Notice also that you just don't hear much talking from the GOP anyomre about the success of state governments or of the states being 'fifty laboratories for experimentation.

Wonder why that is.
