I See Your Machine - Now Who Are You?

This post is addressed to a single individual in Tucson, Arizona: Firefox 2.0 on a Mac. I won't list the ip address. Of course I am watching and of course this possibility was anticipated.

Care to identify yourself? My gmail address is posted at my profile and my SAIAT email is also online. You know how to reach me without posting a comment in front of everyone. Care to communicate? I won't bite.

This, for the rest of you, is not about Tucson Tom spending a couple hours perusing a post here or there. I am talking about much, much more.

Who are you? Care to talk?

I devoted some cerebral horsepower yesterday into the identity of this individual, who has devoted considerable energy into your humble blogger's blog.

So far, no communication, and the post deleted above was not from this person.

There is a lot going on, and last night marked a first. I have never had to delete a comment before.

OK, x4mr, you told me to keep my mouth shut, and I have worked hard to grant your request, but this is too much.

A lot going on?

Jesus!! Your understatement is staggering. You know what I know about what happened a week or two ago (remember--when you furnished me my ip). We both know what that is about and what that means.

Yes, you humiliated me in the computer center. I did jump up and look like an idiot.

My two cents. Mr. Mac is not your board, and Carol is in San Diego.

I think it is a journalist preparing a file.

I don't know about the rest of you, but this is getting intense.

Are you willing to tell us what you had to delete? Are you willing to say in detail what this "Mr. Mac" did?

And, do you think something is happening on your blog because of your loss of anonymity?

Regarding the post I had to delete, folks can safely assume it is not from the same anonymous that posted this morning, whom I know and who probably knows more than anyone about what is going on at this point other than yours truly.

Regarding Mr. Mac, my request for communication was granted. He contacted me, and he's a good guy I knew a few years ago, and when he saw my name, he checked the place out and found it interesting, so he read the whole thing.

I wish him the best and maybe he'll post some remarks here now and then.

His message was a relief. I had far more dramatic scenarios under consideration.

Those occur in a few weeks.

Yes, Liza, a real name changes everything. As the anonymous who posted this morning knows, the ice under anonymity has now broken.

This blog is still on ice, but a different ice, and it is getting thinner every day. We break through again in a week or two, and then:

Sorry, got a little too loose lipped last night. Will explain later.

Well, x4mr, I'm trying to imagine how dramatic things can actually get at a company that provides training and related services.

Oh, Liza, ye of little faith, if you only knew. In June when I publish the cast of characters it might make a little more sense.

Many of them were at the Town Hall.

Oh, and Something Else really isn't about SAIAT except in those places where it is. In fact, most of Something Else isn't about what it's about.

It's about something else.

I promise that I am not kidding and completely serious.

My real name is on the line and on record in front of everyone that will look.

In 53 days, Something Else will be free and available to all at this blog. I will deliver, and I would not talk this way about a mundane recollection of folks learning how to manipulate spreadsheets.

Well, I've got to say, I'm looking forward to this.

I know this guy. He is for real. He is not the poker player who beats you by fooling you into thinking he has cards he does not have.

He is the player that beats you by having cards you don't think he has.
